The Warmth of Ambition

My word for you in 2025

Happy New Year, dear Reader!

I hope your holidays were filled with warmth and joy, whether you spent them with family, chosen family, or on your own.

The start of a new year is often a time to pause, reflect, and think about where you want to spend your time and energy.

It’s a moment to decide what you want to hold on to and what you’re ready to let go of.

So this newsletter edition is more about my own journey and reflection, and a bit less about the business itself.

Shall we start?

In this newsletter:

  • Grand Life Horizons: My word for you in 2025
  • From Me to You: My year - what I am letting go
  • What's going on at BMCY? a FREE workshop on setting intentions

Grand Life Horizons

My Word for You in 2025

I like to start the year by choosing a word.

Or at least, I tell myself that I’m choosing it—when in reality, the word often chooses me.

Sometimes it’s a verb, sometimes a noun, but it’s always an intention.

A way of inviting something in.

It sets the tone for the year, serving as a compass when I inevitably get lost in the nitty-gritty of life.

This year, the word is COURAGE.

In French, when someone is about to face a big moment—an exam, an important presentation, or something else—we don’t necessarily wish them luck or success.

We wish them courage. Bon courage.

The courage to go through what must be gone through, whatever the outcome.

And so, this year, it’s what I wish for you

For 2025, I wish you courage:
To follow the dreams that call your name,
To let go of what brings you pain.
Love so deep it shakes your core,
Be open, real, and risk some more.

I wish you courage:
To say yes, or to say no,
To stay, leave, and let things grow.
To start that project or see it through,
To honor yourself in all you do.

I wish you the courage to rest, to pause,
To reflect, to write, to speak your cause.

To say, "I love you," when words feel tight,
To say, "I love me," and know it’s right.

To try, to fail, to rise once more,
To trust what life has in store.
Arms wide open, face your fears,
Even if it’s awkward, even if there’s tears.

Because the life that’s true, the one that’s real,
Is worth the struggle, worth the feel.

So this is my wish, from me to you:

Go live this year as only you can do.

🤩Do you think this would resonate with someone you know? 💌
Forward it along, and they can join our list here!

From me to you

My Year and What I’m leaving behind

2024 was one of those years where life happens, and everything else has to take a back seat.

My pregnancy and the birth of my baby girl shifted my focus entirely to my family. And while it may seem like not much happened in my business, this was a year of building foundations—both within myself and in my work.

It was a year of deep acceptance.
Acceptance of where I am and what my life looks like right now.
Acceptance of my journey, detours and all.

It was also a year of letting go—letting go of what’s been holding me back, and actively choosing instead to stay in the course of action.

I let go of the fear of judgment.

As Brené Brown says: “If you’re not in the arena getting your ass kicked, I’m not interested in your feedback.”

I let go of perfectionism, too.

I’m showing up even when things aren’t perfect—because moving forward, even imperfectly, is still progress.

And while I stepped back from my business, I didn’t step away entirely.

I used this time to clarify its direction—and I feel really good about where I’m headed.

Through all of this, I’ve finally found fulfillment.

I’ve started feeling grateful—not because my business or finances are exactly where I want them to be, but because I’ve embraced where I am.

At the start of 2024, my intention was to shine from within.

I wanted to feel centered and grounded, to look inward for answers instead of waiting for someone or something to save me.

I can proudly say I’ve achieved that.

The “shining” part? I’ll leave that for others to judge.

But I do feel grounded—connected to this inner sense of knowing.

I don’t have all the answers, but I trust myself to find the solutions I need or be guided to them when the time is right.

As for 2025, my word is courage, and my intention is to show up persistently.

I refuse to let go of my dreams. So I’ll keep showing up, day after day, until they happen.

Let’s meet here in another year and see how that goes, shall we?

Now, what about you Reader?

What are you letting go of and welcoming in 2025?

What's going on at BMCY?

Fancy a FREE workshop on setting intentions?

Since we’re in that time of year—the one where we naturally set goals, intentions, and pick our words—I thought I’d share something with you.

Would you like to know my process for setting intentions? 🙂

I’ve been doing this for years, and it’s been my guide to manifesting some of the biggest things in my life:

  • getting into the university I dreamed of
  • meeting my husband
  • and traveling to places I’d only imagined.

It is no quick-fix solution, but it’s a way to stay anchored and aligned throughout the year (or even the decade).

And as it happens, I shared this process in a workshop last December:

Beyond SMART Goals: The Intentional Approach to Growth and Success.

And the good news? It’s only 15 minutes long.

Curious? You can check it out right here: Instant access to the FREE Workshop

I wish you a great start!
