Business = Heart + Brain | Reflections

My whole body has been screaming simplicity!

Motivation. Willpower. Grit. Self-made.

In French, “quand on veut, on peut” – If you want, you can.

Change doesn’t come from nothing. If you want things to be different, you must be willing to do things differently.

Our society emphasizes action: being the driver, initiating, leading, and creating momentum.

I understand where that comes from, and yes, there’s some truth to it.

But when you’re an entrepreneur and a parent, you’re in a leadership role constantly.

You’re making a thousand decisions a day, and for better or worse, the outcomes are 100% on you.

The decision fatigue is real.

Lately, I felt I should be doing more:

  • optimizing my time
  • staying productive
  • showing up
  • leading by example
  • being consistent and aligned.

I kept telling myself, “People are watching. I need to embody the leader I want them to see.”
And somehow, that leader looked like something out of a traditional corporate mold 🤮

But my intuition was whispering something different:

Just stop. Don’t overthink, don’t analyze, don’t force decisions. Just pause and rest.

That’s what I did—not because I fully trusted my intuition (I’m still working on that)—but because I was exhausted.

I had no energy left.

I focused on conserving what little I had for what truly mattered: my kids and my body. I was just trying to survive the day.

Funny enough, as it so often happens, the more I let go, the more things fell into place.

Call it synchronicity, luck, or don’t see a connection at all—either way, it happens.

Again, I’m reminded that life moves in phases and cycles.

There’s this thing called inertia.

Sometimes, we’re meant to sit back and let life unfold.

We don’t always need to be in the driver’s seat.

We don’t need to push, especially when it’s at the expense of our mental or physical well-being.

Your body, life, and self don’t have to conform to the preconceived idea of business your mind has built.
It’s the other way around.

Your business has to fit your body, life, and self.

The sooner we embrace that, the sooner we’ll build the business we’ve always dreamed of.

Mindful Marketing (Tip)

Specificity is EVERYTHING

Imagine this: Your back is aching, and you're searching for relief. Which of these sounds more appealing?

  1. Resolve your back pain in 30 days with just 5-minute daily exercises—14-day money-back guarantee.
  2. KWB offers an online mobility membership dedicated to improving joint health, muscle function, and range of motion. But that’s not all. The real breakthrough? You’ll reshape your body to significantly reduce pain, build resilience against injury, and enhance athletic performance.

When describing your ideal clients' struggles or the outcomes of your offer, specificity is key.

The more detailed you are, the more persuasive your message becomes.

Why? Because some things can't be made up.

You can only know about them if you've been there yourself or have the experience of guiding others through it.

We all like to feel unique; no one enjoys being lumped into a generic category.

We all believe our case is special—so the question becomes: Can you help with our specific situation?

That’s what people crave: to be seen, understood, and given personalized support. 🫶

So, the more precise you are in your copy, the more you showcase your expertise, build trust, and spark genuine interest.

Grand Life Horizons

What’s comfy doesn’t make you grow.

Comforting thoughts are wonderful.

In a world that can sometimes feel harsh—genocides, war, cancel culture—showing up daily as the incredible entrepreneur you are can feel overwhelming.

That’s why having a comfy place, both literally and figuratively, is essential.

A space for comfy thoughts, comfy conversations, and comfy people.

Yet, if you’re staying in your comfort zone, you’re not stepping into your growth zone—the one that

  • challenges you
  • expands you
  • and encourages you to evolve into the next version of yourself.

It’s not about living in either zone forever or bullying yourself in the growth zone if you don’t feel ready or safe.

But it might be worth asking yourself:

Are you staying in your comfort zone a bit too long?

Have you been a bit too shy around your growth zone lately?

Even if you feel challenged, sometimes the most effective progress comes from taking a significant leap rather than just small steps. Think of it like using a powerful machine to break a rock instead of endlessly hammering away.

Deep down, you likely sense when you’ve been in your comfort zone a bit too long and when it’s time to challenge yourself more.

Likewise, you may also intuitively understand when you’ve pushed too hard and need a break.

When everything feels overwhelming and you need time to master your craft and regain your confidence, it’s okay to stay in that zone until you’re ready to move forward again.

So, Reader, where do you stand?

Journaling Prompt:

Imagine yourself gearing up to take a big, bold step.

How does it feel as you prepare? Are you filled with excitement, or does it seem a bit unsettling?

Does the thought of this step expand your horizons, or does it feel overwhelming?

Reflect on these questions:

  • What emotions come up as you envision taking this step?
  • Does it feel like an opportunity for growth or a challenge that’s too much right now?
  • What’s the next step that feels right to you in this process?

Explore how you can make the most out of this next step, ensuring it supports your journey and growth.

This is it, Reader.

It feels both like a long and short newsletter.

I wish I could tell you a bit more about my business, things at home and my Netflix watch ;) But I am mindful of your time and my energy.

All I can say is that something's cooking!

Till next time, and take care until then!
